MY BIO

Melissa Georgeoff has over 30 years of experience in payer contracting, credentialing, customer service, sales, marketing, information technology, accreditation, quality improvement, government affairs, and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.  Currently, Melissa serves as the Chief Contracting Officer for HR HealthCare, a manufacturer and provider of urology supplies.

During her tenure at Numotion, she was responsible for Payer Relations and Government Affairs for Medicare (CMS), 47 state Medicaid programs, and over 2,000 commercial payers. She played a vital role in advocating for the protection of Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) benefits nationwide. Melissa collaborated with medical directors, clinicians, and case managers to educate them on CRT and how the right wheelchairs significantly improve the mobility and independence of the individuals who rely on them.  Prior to her role at Numotion, Melissa was the Vice President of National Accounts for Wheelchair Professionals, a national CRT provider network. During her time there, she secured national agreements with UnitedHealthcare and its 150 affiliated health plans, Great West, and Aetna.

Melissa is a strong advocate for people with disabilities and actively lobbies in Washington, D.C., to educate legislators on the importance of CRT and respiratory care, as well as to support legislation that ensures access to these vital services. She has been involved in various national and local organizations, including the National Coalition of Assistive Rehab Technology (NCART), where she served on the board of directors and executive and regulatory committees. She is also a member of the State Leaders’ Council for the Great Lakes Association, AAHomecare, Users First, United Spinal Association, Ranken Jordan Pediatric Hospital, and the St. Louis Variety Club. Additionally, she served on the foundation board of SSM DePaul Hospital, United Cerebral Palsy, and led Numotion’s educational programs for managed care and payer groups. Melissa was also the Senior Team Lead for Numotion’s Women’s Network, which has over 600 members, and she is a member of both the Black & Brown Network and the Disabilities Network within Numotion.

Melissa hosts a podcast titled "See the Unseen," which aims to raise awareness for individuals with disabilities and help women discover their potential, overcome barriers, and lead lives driven by passion and purpose.

In her personal life, Melissa is married to Andy Reel, who has two daughters, Addy and Huxlie. Melissa has two adult children of her own: Kaylee, a former third-grade elementary school teacher and new mother to Shane (2), and Brayden, who graduated from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville with a degree in Business Administration-Marketing. Brayden now works as a Contracting Specialist for AllyAlign Health, which is part of Curana Health. Recently, Melissa has been enjoying her new grandson, Shane, who was born on September 20, 2022.
